Each season we ring in the new year by catching GIANT YELLOW FIN TUNA fishing the world famous MID-NITE LUMP in Fourchon Louisiana . Fourchon is about 2 hrs southwest of New Orleans . We start fishing there Jan 6th thru Mar. 1st Fishing the LUMP brings in some of the biggest fish we catch all year with some of the TUNA in excess of 200lbs , we catch black fin tuna ,amberjacks and big Wahoo’s as well.
We kick off the season in Destin Fla. In late March with the beginning of the annual spring run of COBIA . Starting the first weekend in April we tournament cobia fish each weekend, these Tournaments have in excess of $100,000 dollars in prize money we have some tournament charters available.
BOTTOM FISHING for AMBERJACK, GROUPER, RED SNAPPER, TRIGERFISH begins in April and Bottom fishing continues all season long until the end of the Destin Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo which ends Oct 31st Bottom fishing tends to be better in the spring , April, May , early June and in September and October.
INSHORE TROLLING starts in April with the COBIA ,SPANISH MACKERAL and soon to follow KING MACKERAL and BONITO’S .
BIG GAMEFISHING for BLUE MARLIN, WHITE MARLIN,SAILFISH, DOLPHIN and WAHOO begins in late May and remains good until the end of October. Most weekends from Memorial day till Labor day have Marlin fishing tournaments with prize money in excess of $500,000 dollars we have tournament fishing dates available for charter. To big game fish it takes a 12hr trip to chase after these awesome sport fish, and we recommend our 2 and 3 day overnight long range trips for this type of fishing. On these trips we not only go out to the oil rigs to catch Yellow Fin Tuna and Marlin but we can fish for Sword Fish at nite as well.
